Merry Happy.

1 12 2007

The season to be jolly has descended upon the busy streets once again, dangling itself against thick, sturdy branches in the form of Christmas decorations, shimmering the once stale night sky with it’s dazzling array of lights. Busking acts harvest curious flock of crowds, drawn away from frolicking the night to their engaging shticks. As if dipped head down into a pot of silver paint, the mimes served as sidewalk entertainment, turning the heads of many. Christmas carols chimed the stores with tunes so jolly even the Grinch would hum to. White, silver, red and green adorned the streets, assembling the pavements for the arrival of Santa and his ridiculously short elves.

And yet, after everything, after all the effort incurred to inject such an infectious joy into the streets,  I’m still not feeling it.

Oh wherefore art thou, my Christmas ju-ju?
